| There is very limited opportunity for the villagers to create an income while living in the
villages. Some of the people in the village make their living by teaching in the government
schools or hired for some other government job in the village. Some take a local bus that
comes by every morning in to the next town and work. But this is not the case for everyone. Due to the communal living of the villagers, many of the households simply “live.” They raise
their children, men work in the rice fields, women
care for the home and cook the meals and nothing else
is needed. The problem those people run in to is that
it costs money to buy school books, school supplies
and pay tuition for their children to go to school. In
addition, should there be any medical problems with
someone in their home, there is no way to pay for it
should they have to travel to a hospital in a nearby
town. Many other problems occur due to this simple
fact. |
